I am a young female running my first start up business, and I hadn’t realised that I was struggling with stress until I started experiencing heart palpitations. I really wanted to learn how to identify stress and then, manage it effectively. I really enjoyed this course and loved her relaxing environment. We learnt about the brain, toxic thoughts and identifying the emotions and physical reactions within us in relation to stress. We were given weekly tasks to help us practice our mindfulness and ‘stress-reducing’ activities. I implement these skills and tips I have learned into my daily life. My partner noticed a huge decrease in my stress levels and therefore my behaviour. I no longer have heart palpitations, and when I experience bouts of stress I am able to easily recognise it as stress and reduce it effectively.
